Board Roster 2011 - 2012

Blanca Cole – President

            Blanca is a personal trainer working for several local organizations.  She retired from Verizon.  She is a certified instructor from A Window Between Worlds and works with the children in our Art Healing Program.

Linda Ely – Treasurer

            Linda is retired from being a small business owner.  She managed and did the accounting for bother her business and that of her husband.  She currently works part time for Target.

Jill Hemingway – Secretary

            Jill is a commercial real estate appraiser.  She is on the board of directors for the Victor Valley Appraiser’s Association.  She is a member of the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce, a parent volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America and the Desert Aquatics Club.  Jill volunteers as a facilitator in our Art Healing Program for children.

Joyce Rabor – board member

            Joyce is a neo-natal nurse at St. Mary Medical Center.  She is a member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses and is active in her church.

Susan Ward – board member

            Susan is the Manager of Human Resources for the Town of Apple Valley.  She has been a volunteer for over 3 years.  Her knowledge of human resources has helped us modify our employment practices to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.  She is a certified instructor from A Window Between Worlds and works with the children in our Art Healing Program. 

Delci Felix – board member

            Delci is a real estate agent with Century 21, Desert Rock.  She is a former victim of domestic violence and provides comfort and emotional support to our clients as a volunteer.

Leslie Vonk – board member

            Leslie is a nurse manager at St. Mary Medical Center.  She is also a board member for the Mojave Aquatics Coalition.

Olivia Luna – board member

            Olivia is a retired counselor from the Excelsior Education Center.  She was previously a counselor, parenting instructor and English as a Second Language instructor for the Victorville Elementary School District and the Victor Valley Community College.  She currently assists with facilitating our Spanish language peer support group.
