Cal EMA is funding from the State Legislature for domestic violence programs administered by the California Emergency Management Agency.
Cal Works is administered by the county to help victims in the welfare to work program.
Presley funds are a portion of the marriage license fee set aside for domestic violence shelter based programs. This money is split between the 7 DV agencies in our county.
EDD is Workforce Development, a part of the federal stimulus program that covered the cost of 2 staff members for 6 months.
Department of Education Child Nutrition Program is a federal program that covers the costs of food for the children in our shelter. This amount fluctuates with the number of children in the shelter.
EFSP is the federal Emergency Food and Shelter Program administered by HUD.
Blue Shield of California is a major supporter of domestic violence agencies in our county. They have donated $15,000 to our shelter every year for the last 4 years.
Hesperia CDBG in the Community Development Block Grant money from HUD that is administered by the city. We were awarded an additional $10,000 this year to replace the flooring in the shelter.
Court Ordered fines are our portion of fines imposed on abusers at sentencing. This money is split between the 7 DV agencies in our county.
